GUATEMALIN SISTER PARISH:

        Are you interested to experience a cultural experience by Visiting Parroquia Santo Hermano Pedro de San José Betancur, Atescatempa – Jerez, Jutiapa, Guatemala. the parish that Holy Childhood supports. You will spend a few days speaking, praying and an exchange of our different cultures.

       The trip begins on Thursday, June 25, 2026 with an early morning flight from St. Louis, arriving in Guatemala City at 1:00 pm.  You will be picked up at the airport by your sister parish, continue traveling to your sister parish, and arrive in your sister parish by late afternoon/early evening that same day.

              You will spend Thursday night through Monday, June 29 in your sister parish.  By Monday early evening you will return back to Guatemala City.  Monday evening and Tuesday evening will be spent in Guatemala City with a group trip to Antigua on Tuesday.

              The return flight to the United States will be on Wednesday, July 1. The largest expense for this trip is the flight, which is approximately $1,150.00.  Accommodation at your sister parish will vary depending on your sister parish.  Missions International will arrange these accommodations along with the accommodation in Guatemala City.

              The purpose of this trip is to build a relationship with your sister parish.  You will spend the time experiencing firsthand the joys and struggles of your sister parish.  We will literally walk in solidarity with our brothers and sisters of Guatemala.

              We will have at least 3 meetings prior to the trip to prepare you and answer all your questions from what vaccination you need to where you will stay and the full cost of the trip.  Our first meeting will be at the end of January.    An email will be sent out at the beginning of December with the date, time, and location for this meeting.  You do not have to commit to the trip now but will need to by February 1, 2026.
