Old Business:
Building Discipleship / Evangelization (POC: Fr Mark/Dcn Dan):
2026 Adoration Calendar - Divine Mercy Sunday will have 24-hour adoration and will need 2 people/hour to be in church. Deacon Dan brought that St. John’s is not participating in the city Way of the Cross help on Good Friday.
Parish / Community Outreach / Evangelization
Sunday Donuts: no one has come forward to assist. Paula Proffitt will cover May - August while we continue to seek a permanent leader.
Diocesan Worship
Evangelization Committee: Keith commented that the committee is reaching out to new church attendees.
USCCB Evangelization Summit: Will be held in Indianapolis Oct. 13-15th. The Parish will pay for any one wanting to attend.
Adult/Family Education (POC: Fr Mark/Dcn Dan):
Our Time Together Today (Wendy Uhl): Wendy Uhl reviewed the program for faith formation across the diocese. She represents HC at the organizing workshops and is looking for additional volunteers as well as input for the next workshop on what the parishes are currently doing. They are still in the brainstorming phase, but the ideal would be to have regular parish wide events to draw the community together (think Parish Picnic). Not all parishes would end up with the same implementation, not cookie cutter across the diocese. The initiative was well received.
Invite Parents who are involved in St. John Boco Nights - Involved in OTTT discussion.
Parish Mission: Marianist MORE Team (in the Fall)
Adult Formation-Liturgy of the Hours: Talk led by Fr. Mark Wednesday 3/4 and 3/11 at HC and repeated at SL on april dates TBD.
Mass Schedule (OPR: Fr Mark):
Stations of the Cross-Fridays: 2:00 pm HC (with HCS students); 6:30 pm SL
Triduum - HC: 7:00pm Holy Thursday; 7:00pm Good Friday; 7:30pm Easter Vigil
Easter Sunday: 8:00am SL; 10:00am HC
Rectory/Church Updates (OPR: Fr Mark):
Committees
Facilities/Campus Assessment: Kent said that the binders are essentially complete in the church and school offices.
Security
Parish/Rectory Projects: Vinny and Kent reviewed open projects including making church and rectory entrances ADA compliant.
Memorial Bricks in Mary Garden: Discussed the school wanting to obtain a brick to honor Maria Paquin’s years of service for her retirement this spring as was done for other long service teachers in the past. Also discussed the process and cost for obtaining brick. Will need to contact Don Norreberns to find out details from the initial offering.
Opportunities to Collaborate with St Libory (POC: Fr Mark): (Revisit Quarterly Jan, Apr, Jul, Oct) Joint meeting not planned at this time.
