Holy Childhood Church Finance Council Meeting Summary

Date:   July 14, 2026   (7pm in the Rectory)                               

Council Members Present: Fr. Mark Stec, Paula Proffitt, Kent Hoerchler, Matt Athy, Mike Brennan, Margaret Wienstroer, and Margie Berry   

A.      Opening Prayer – Fr. Mark led opening prayer.

B.      Approval of Minutes – June minutes approved with minor revision.

C.       Review of Finances – April 1-June 30, 2026, financial reports were reviewed.

D.      Review of any Proposals – No new proposals discussed

E.       Old Business

·       School Updates by Mike

·        Windows are complete

·        No additional costs were incurred.

·        Meeting on Thursday with the window shade company. No guarantees that the shades will be installed before the school open house on 8/12.  School starts 8/14/26.

·        Flooring is done.

·        Still considering what the “Fund the Need” request will be at this year’s dinner auction. Possibly asking for security doors and/or new floors in upper-level rooms of school. Another possibility would be windows in the cafeteria and gym, but not likely for this year.

·        Church Ramp Handrail – Matt working on exterior handrail on ramp at south entrance to church. No target date for this project.

F.       New Business

·       No new business

·       No meeting in August due to picnic and start of school.

G.      Closing Prayer – Fr. Mark led the closing prayer. Meeting adjourned at 07:30pm.
