Holy Childhood Church Finance Council Meeting Summary
Date: May 12, 2026 (7pm in Rectory Conference Room)
Council Members Present: Fr. Mark Stec, Kent Hoerchler, Paula Proffitt, Matt Athy, Mike Brennan, Margaret Wienstroer. Guest: Chris Berry
Absent: Margie Berry
A. Opening Prayer: Fr. Mark led opening prayer.
B. Approval of Minutes: April minutes were approved as submitted.
C. Review of Finances: April financial reports were reviewed. Discussed school finances. School will need additional $150,000 to meet expenses. Funds will be taken out of CEF at EOM. Review of diocese increases of 3% pay raise across the board for lay and priest.
D. Review of any Proposals: None
E. Old Business:
a. Transfer of funds to school for EOY will happen at EOM for $1500,000 from CEF account.
b. School Auction Square: Discussed that Dinner Auction Checking Account is associated with the School Account. Venmo ticket sales and sales on the night of action are linked through STRIPE.
c. Hope Account: Discussed the remaining $15,000 sitting in account. Would like to see it used for teachers. HOPE does not use Venmo Account. Change in Treasure this school year.
d. Ramps: Ramp installed in front of Rectory. Facility group does not want to replace the ramp but repair the ramp and railings on the North Side of Church.
e. Crash bars on inside front doors of Church: Waiting on a longer rod needed before installing panic bars. Will need to educate all who usher on directing people to the West Doors.
F. New Business: Discussed how a list of help fund the need and other projects would be discussed with school.
